Kids In The Kitchen: Set The Table Together

December 15th, 2015

A great way to include smaller children in the preparation of family meals is to give them table-setting responsibility. While it doesn’t have to be super formalized (does anyone really use multiple forks, spoons, and knives in their weekly family dinners anymore?), teaching small children how to set a place at the table instills valuable habits that can be used later down the road. More importantly, it helps them to feel like they play a central role in bringing the family together over dinner.

This week, we challenge you to give your kids the task of setting the table before dinner, and we want to hear how it goes! Share your table setting stories by using #BillionDinners or sending them directly to us at Bon appétit!
